Terms of service

These terms apply when you use NoteStream at https://staging.notestream.link. By creating an account or answering an event, you agree to them.

The service

NoteStream lets hosts create events and collect anonymous questions, feedback and poll answers through a link or QR code. Attendees don't need an account.

Host accounts

  • Give accurate account details and keep your password safe. You're responsible for activity on your account.
  • You must be at least 18, or have permission from a parent or guardian.
  • You're responsible for your events: their content, the questions you ask, and how you use the responses.

Acceptable use

Don't use NoteStream to:

  • harass, threaten or bully anyone, or encourage others to;
  • share illegal, hateful or sexually explicit content;
  • collect personal or sensitive data that attendees haven't agreed to share;
  • send spam, attack the service, or try to work out who sent an anonymous response;
  • break any law.

We may remove content, pause events or close accounts that break these rules. Anyone can report an event from its page.

Anonymity

We don't show hosts who sent a response, and we design the service so we hold as little identifying information as possible. Attendees should still avoid including personal details in what they write.

Payments

  • Paid plans are one-time payments per event, shown in Naira (NGN) or US Dollars (USD) before you pay. Paystack processes all payments.
  • Each event gets the number of responses you paid for. Votes on audience questions don't use up responses.
  • Refunds follow our Refund policy.

Your content

You own the content you and your attendees submit. You allow us to store and show it as needed to run the service. Responses are deleted automatically after the export window, as described in our Privacy policy.

Availability

We work hard to keep NoteStream running, but we can't promise it will always be available or error-free. Export your responses before the export window closes.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, NoteStream is provided "as is", and we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the event concerned.

Changes and ending

We may update these terms; we'll change the date at the top and tell hosts about important changes. You can stop using NoteStream and ask us to delete your account at any time.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
